My All Time Favorites!

The most common cocktail-related question I get asked is “what is your favorite cocktail?”. I always come up with some half-baked answer like “it depends on the mood and the occasion.”. But, today - I’m unveiling my 3 absolute favorite cocktails (I couldn’t choose just one!).

In no particular order, I present…

  1. Vieux Carré - a spirit-forward mix of cognac, whiskey and herbal/honeyed liqueur, Benedictine (also, my favorite liqueur).

  2. Enzoni - negroni meets sour where the sweet vermouth is replaced with freshly muddled grapes.

  3. Penicillin - a whiskey sour that uses a blended Scotch, sweetened with honey & ginger syrup then finished with a smokey Islay whisky float. Ooft!

Now, I have one question for you so that I can help others to make better cocktails (please hit reply):

What is your #1 challenge when it comes to making cocktails at home?
