It was Kat's birthday last week! 🎉🎉🎉
We celebrated over a few Cable Cars and a trip to the Farm Barn 😂
You may have guessed that the Cable Car is a riff on the Sidecar. The cognac is replaced with spiced rum and the drink is finished with a cinnamon sugar rim for some warming sweet, spice. If you are keen to try it I'd recommend avoiding the cheaper, mass produced spiced "rums" out there and perhaps opt for Chairman's Reserve Spiced, Foursquare Spiced, Brinley Gold Shipwreck Spiced or Cargo Cult Dry Spiced.
I definitely think the Cable Car is one of the most underrated cocktails featured in my cocktail book.

The Bourbon Renewal is a bright, tart variation on a classic Whiskey Sour. The addition of the creme de cassis makes it pop and I share my favourite version on the channel.

🔥 PRODUCT OF THE WEEK
Okay, I'm jumping the gun on this one. I haven't tested it personally BUT I couldn't resist sharing it. Whilst I was reviewing some info about the Bourbon Renewal I stumbled across Jeffrey Morgenthaler's recent YouTube video where he reviews and recommends this citrus press, named the Fluicer.
It was only released within the last couple years but there are already plenty of rip off brands so make sure you look for the Dreamfarm brand, if you're interested. They're available in 3 sizes for limes, lemons and oranges.
A lot of people have been asking me about featuring a Sangria recipe... so I'll be sharing one in the coming weeks - stay tuned.
