Quest for the Perfect Daiquiri

And the best tiki-focused cocktail book.

It's been over 6 years since I posted my first Daiquiri video which has since received over 600,000 views! 🚀

My preferred ratios for the Daiquiri has evolved over the years so I wanted to share my favourite version in my upcoming Friday Night Drinks live stream on Patreon (1st of many monthly live streams).

I was a little concerned when Kat presented me the recipe for this one as I thought it would be sickly sweet... but it surprised me! Two Italian amaro; Cynar and Montenegro paired with ginger beer and lime.

p.s. how good is my miniature gold Yukiwa shaker! (warning: they're not cheap)

🔥 TIP OF THE WEEK

Kat and I were making a few cocktails with prosecco a couple days back and we discovered we had misplaced our champagne stopper! It made us realise how useful they are.

Keep your bubbles fresh between cocktails rather than letting it go flat by keeping this inexpensive gadget on hand... well, to be honest... Kat would never let a bottle of prosecco go flat at our place but a stopper is a MUST... and in case it does go flat, perhaps try turning it into a champagne syrup.

📚 BOOK OF THE WEEK

Tropical Standard by Garret Richard & Ben Schaffer. This book is the love child of Smuggler's Cove x Liquid Intelligence. An intermediate tiki book focused on technique.

🛒 PRODUCT OF THE WEEK

I use champagne stoppers all the time. They are underrated. Make sure you keep your sparkling wines as fresh as possible between making cocktails!
